Tomorrow night, 3-20-08, at 7:00pm the City Council of Monterey is holding a meeting that will determine whether or not the El Estero Skate Park will receive funding for a complete remodel (brand new park, same spot). This time around, the skaters themselves will have a voice in the creation and hopefully the design of the park. We need everyone who has anything to do with skateboarding, roller blading, lurking, and so on to show up to this meeting and show support for the project. If all goes well, Monterey could have a new and improved Skate Park within the year.
We need everyone we can get.
